Calls have been made for Uisce Eireann to appear before Monaghan County Council.
Sinn Fein's Paul Gibbons said he has many concerns when it comes to Uisce Eireann's service delivery.
In Castleblayney alone, he said there has been a lack of consultation over the replacement of a water main, issues with pumping stations and the supply of water with an incredible 23 outages recorded in 2024 and 25 outages in 2025 across Casteblayney.
Cllr Gibbons said the list of concerns goes on and on, and these concerns are shared by people right across Co Monaghan not just in Castleblayney.
He highlighted that rates and bills have also increased at a time when businesses are already struggling.
Some food businesses in the Blayney area have also had to close because of water outages.
