The road leading to the roundabout at the Four Seasons Hotel in Monaghan Town is closed at present after a lorry overturned.
A crane has now been deployed to clear the incident which happened at around lunchtime today. The lorry overturned on the roundabout between the Four Seasons and Emyvale exits.
Traffic on the N54 coming from Monaghan Town past the Four Seasons is being re-routed and traffic is slow but operational on the other exits off the Coolshannagh Roundabout. Gardaí are attending the scene. A garda spokesperson told Northern Sound the incident is not serious and they expect the road to re-open soon.
