A Co Monaghan woman has highlighted the importance of knowing CPR and other lifesaving skills.
Carol McGirl from Glaslough is the managing director of Pro-Training which offers people first aid training in emergency situations.
Carol said it was always her passion to make a difference and instil confidence in people, not only though her work in emergency response but also mental health.
The local woman said it's never good to come across a scene or emergency situation, however it's even worse to come across an emergency and not know what to do.
Carol warned that having to walk away and deal with that for the rest of your life has both a mental and physical impact.
