Monaghan's incidence rate rises slightly

The five-day moving average of Covid-19 cases has fallen by 15 percent in the past week to 430.

Figures from the HSE show the number of patients in public hospitals with the disease has dropped by 19 percent over the last seven days to 220.

There are 56 people with the virus in ICU nationally.

It comes as 423 new cases of the virus have been identified, while five more deaths have been reported.

Monaghan's incidence rate increased as of yesterday.

The county is now in 15th position nationally jumping up two places from Tuesday following 5 cases yesterday.

The rate now sits at 94.5.

Meanwhile, Cavan still has the 7th highest rate in the country at 195.6 after 5 cases were also recorded there yesterday.
