More than half of Irish businesses impacted by Brexit regulatory checks

The burden of new Brexit regulations impacted more than half of Irish enterprises in 2020.

That was one of the findings of the latest Global Value Chains survey.

The survey monitors enterprises' economic globalisation, and provides indicators and statistics on international trade and sourcing of supplies.

It also found 40 per cent of enterprises had difficulty sourcing raw materials from suppliers abroad due to Covid-19.
