A man aged in his late 70s has died in single vehicle collision near Cootehill in Co Cavan.
The single vehicle collision which involved a motorcycle occurred this morning.

The man was airlifted to hospital where he was later pronounced dead and a post-mortem examination is to take place in due course.

The road remained closed throughout the day while Garda forensic collision investigators carried out an examination of the scene.
The road has since reopened.
