Motorcyclist killed in Monaghan crash named locally

The man that was killed in a fatal road Collison in Monaghan yesterday evening has been named locally.

Kieran Brennan died after being involved in a two vehicle crash on the Old Armagh Road in Monaghan town.

His motorbike and one other car was involved in the fatal Collison just before 5pm

Kieran was the Club president of Bad Examples motor cycle club and tributes are being paid to the popular Monaghan man.

The road where the collision occurred remains closed this morning.

A technical examination of the scene by Forensic Collision Investigators is taking place and local diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the fatal crash to come forward and any road users with video footage (including dash cam) is asked to make this available to them
