A new mural that has been the result of an integration project by Cavan Volunteer Centre, Bounce Back Youth Service, Teach Solais Community Development, Ballyjamesduff Community Council and Cavan County Council will be unveiled later this week.
A special event to mark the occasion takes place on Thursday, the 13th of July next at 1pm in the Old Courthouse in the west Cavan town. Over the past five months, Teach Solais Community Development has run workshops with young people in the area and explored the significance of cultural identity, community, and teamwork.
The information gathered subsequently informed the design of the "significant" mural that is set to be launched in Ballyjamesduff this week. Everyone is welcome to attend Thursday's event and homecooked Ukrainian food and light refreshments will be provided to those in attendance.
