The N2 between Coolshannagh and Emyvale remains closed this morning following an incident last night.
Diversions are currently in place and Gardai are advising motorists to take an alternative route.
Motorists are being advised to exercise caution in the area due to reports of traffic delays in Emyvale and en route to Monaghan town.
