N3 at New Inns remains closed following fatal collision

The N3 at New Inns in Ballyjamesduff remains closed this lunchtime.

Gardaí this afternoon are appealing for witnesses in relation to a fatal crash which claimed the life of a man in his 20s.

This crash happened just before five o'clock yesterday evening on the N3 at New Inns in Ballyjamesduff.

The man in his 20s, who was the driver and sole occupant of the car, collided with a lorry. Nobody else was injured in the incident.

The road remains closed this afternoon with diversions in place as a technical exam of the scene is carried out.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have seen the crash, or who has dash-cam footage, to come forward.
