National Heritage Week is taking place from tomorrow the 16th of August and will run until next Sunday the 25th of August.
A packed programme of events is scheduled to take place right across Co Monaghan. Kara Ward who is Heritage Officer with Monaghan County Council.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Kara outlined that this year's event is even bigger and better than ever before. With events taking place right across the county, Kara has advised locals to keep their eyes peeled on social media to see what events are on and more importantly how they can get involved.
