Monaghan business woman Aprilanna Barker has been elected as the new Chairperson of CMETB.
Meanwhile, Cllr Damien Brady was elected as Deputy Chairperson during a Board meeting which was held on Tuesday.
The ETB Board and Executive paid tribute to outgoing Chairperson, Cllr Carmel Brady, for her dedication and stewardship in the role over the past 9 months.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Aprilanna said: "I am honoured to be elected as Chairperson of CMETB and I thank my colleagues on the Board for placing their confidence in me. With a background in business, I value strong governance, accountability and ensuring that public resources deliver real impact. At the same time, I am deeply passionate about education and the opportunities it creates for individuals and communities. I look forward to working with the Board and Executive to build on the progress already made and to continue delivering high-quality education and training across Cavan and Monaghan."
