A new community hub is set to be developed at Cairn Heights in Clones.
Approval was given at this month's meeting of the Monaghan County Council to lease the former Meteorological Office in the town to the Clones Chamber of Commerce.
The development will consist of a sensory area for children, allotments for O'Neill Park residents and an admin centre for the local community employment scheme.

The official go ahead for the lease was formally proposed by Clones Councillor Pat Treanor who said he was delighted to see this premises being used by a number of local community groups.
