Parents of children with palliative needs in the Northern Sound region have reported high levels of stress.
A survey conducted by LauraLynn, Ireland's Children's Hospice, found that the majority of families feel isolated when caring for a child with life-limiting illnesses.
The research was released to mark the start of Children's Hospice Week and to highlight the psychological, financial, and administrative burden families face.
Respondents, which included 20 families surveyed in Cavan and Monaghan, spend an average of 17 and a half hours a week on admin tasks for their child.
