A new search begins in Co Monaghan today for one of the 'Disappeared' victims of the Troubles. 19-year-old Columba McVeigh from Co Tyrone was last seen in November 1975.
He was killed and secretly buried by the IRA, and his body has never been found. The new dig at Bragan bog near Emyvale will be the sixth to have been carried out in the area since 1999.
Geoff Knupfur rom the Independent Commission for the Location of Victims' Remains is leading the searches. He says there is hope that Columba McVeigh's remains will be found.

"We have worked on this for the last 17 years and it would be such an enormous relief to us to find Columba and return him to his family. I am sure they would be thrilled as well," he added.
