Northern Sound supports initiative that promotes Irish artists and music

A major new initiative to promote Irish artists and bands on radio stations, including Shannonside Northern Sound, has been announced.

The campaign called Irish Music Month, supported by the Independent Broadcasters of Ireland (IBI) and Hot Press, hopes to promote and support Irish music throughout the month of March.

Stations will assist in the national campaign to support the live music industry in Ireland from grassroots upwards and play more Irish music to provide a significant additional boost for the profile and status of Irish artists.

Artists must submit their original song including a brief biography before January 31 to [email protected] The initial shortlist will be announced on February the 15th next.
