One person hospitalised following N2 collision earlier this evening

Gardaí attended the scene of a two vehicle road traffic collision on the N2 at Broomfield between Carrickmacross and Castleblayney earlier.

The collision occurred at approximately 4.20pm and the road was closed with diversions put in place. 

The driver of one of the vehicles was taken to hospital. The road reopened just before 6.30pm.

Investigations are currently ongoing at this time.
