There were over 1100 property upgrades under the National retrofit plan in the Northern Sound region last year.
The SEAI Retrofit report shows that Cavan had 638 property upgrades in 2023 compared to 376 in 2022. While the report shows Monaghan yielding 504 property retrofits last year compared to 287 the previous year.
Nationally over 43,000 homes were retrofitted in 2023 with Dublin seeing the highest amount. However, 2023 was not without its challenges. In surveys undertaken by SEAl and other groups the cost of retrofit and affordability were cited amongst the biggest barriers for homeowners to undertake a retrofit last year.
