Over 250 families across the greater Monaghan area will be having a better Christmas time due to the help given by Monaghan Lions Club.
Club members gathered food in recent weeks to put together food hampers for people in need in the community.
The annual event giving out hampers was to ensure people don't go without food over the festive season in Monaghan.

The Lions club has thanked people right across Monaghan for their generosity.
Monaghan's Lions Club President Emma Gallogly said due to the support from the community people who were finding it difficult to put food on their table will now have received a food hamper.
