Over €1200 raised by Monaghan student for local mental health charity

Over 1200 euros has been raised by a Monaghan student for a local mental health charity.

Rossa Gilsenan completed 12 swims in the Irish Sea at the Forty foot in Dublin during the month of December.

All the funds she made through her idonate fundraiser went to the Solas Drop In Centre Monaghan.

She decided to do the fundraiser to give something back to her community while studying in UCD.

She said that she has volunteered at the mental health facility previously and knows first hand the excellent work that the charity does for people from across the Northern Sound region.
