Over €27,000 is going towards developing sensory gardens at five disability services across the region.
It's part of a €1 million commitment from the Government to go towards 65 sensory gardens in Ireland.
Sensory gardens benefit the entire community, but are particularly beneficial to children and adults with disabilities, and are designed to stimulate the senses.
The centres benefiting are:
Enable Ireland, Rathcorrick, Cavan € 3,255
HSE Manderley Lodge, Cavan€ 6,000
Acquired Brain Injury Ireland, Castleblayney € 2,000
Camphill Communities of Ireland, Ballybay € 6,000
Errigal Truagh Day Services €10,000
