A fundraising walk that took place for Liverpool fan and Monaghan teenager Daire Gorman has raised over €7000.
This amount will help him travel to France to compete as a member of a wheelchair football team in a special competition this summer.
Local Gardaí were the orgainsers of this fundraiser for their honorary garda colleague Daire - one of their Little Blue Heroes. After a tough year last year with Daire in daily pain, he needs another 2-3 operations on his legs this year.

Hundreds gathered in Rossmore Park for the 5km trek to let him know that he’ll never walk alone. A go-fund me page set up for this event will remain open for the next few days for anyone that would like to support Daire and his family.
