The news was announced by Health Minister, Stephen Donnelly this afternoon to announce the news.

A 16 bed Specialist Palliative Care Inpatient Hospice and Community Care Facility has been announced for Cavan and Monaghan

The development will also see 2 new homes and a new respite house for people with physical and sensory disabilities at the St. Christopher’s Site in Cavan.

The news was announced by Health Minister, Stephen Donnelly this afternoon during his trip to the region where he stated this development will be funded both by the St Christopher’s Hospice Committee and the HSE and will equate to a joint investment of approximately €7.5m.
