In a statement following the announcement of increased restrictions, the local HSE Department said Covid-19 is still very much in Ireland and we must all keep our guard up and protect those around us, even as green shoots of hope start to come through.

Dr Augustine Pereira, who is the Director of Public Health North-East, said he’s thankful to all the staff who work to manage the pandemic.
