The chief medical officers in the Republic and Northern Ireland have appealed for people to avoid all but necessary cross-border travel.
In particular, the two health chiefs said they were concerned about the number of cases amongst young people. Following a rise in cases, tighter restrictions will come into force in Donegal from midnight tonight.
