People from Cavan or with links to the county are being urged to celebrate Cavan today.
Today marks the first Cavan Day with a special online event taking place this evening.
The County Council had planned to hold a major showcase of the county this summer with the Cavan Calling event but this had to be cancelled because of
the pandemic.

In a bid to show what Cavan has to offer, people are being encouraged to share their photos, videos or other posts on social media using #CavanDay.
A special online showcase will also take place at 5 o'clock this evening on the Cavan TV Facebook and YouTube pages.
