Permission granted for new ATM in Clones

Permission has been granted for the installation of a new ATM in Clones.

Euronet 360 Finance will install the machine outside Clones Credit Union.

There had been calls for more ATM services to be located in the town after Bank of Ireland and Ulster removed their machines from Clones when they closed their branches.

Speaking previously to Northern Sound, Ciarán Morgan from Lipton's of Clones, said it's a positive move for the town.

While the majority of people pay by card, he noted that the majority of older people pay cash, and there are some businesses in town that only accept cash.
