Permission has been granted for a new extension at a local school. Beech Hill College in Monaghan applied to construct a new two-storey extension linked to the existing school consisting of 6 no. general classrooms. This would include a new construction studies room, 2 science labs, 1 specialist classroom, 4 tuition rooms and 3 class based special educational needs suites.
32 solar panels are also due to be installed on the roof. Departmental approval was given for the development in February, and now Monaghan County Council has granted planning permission for the development with 4 conditions attached.
