Eir has applied to Cavan County Council for the construction of a telecommunications mast in Ballyjamesduff.
The purposed 18m monopole if given the green light would have an overall height of 19.5m with antennas, dishes and associated equipment.
The location that the mast is being sought for by Eircom Ltd is at the Eir Exchange on Granard Street in Ballyjamesduff.

The application also seeks permission for new ground level equipment cabinets, fencing, landscaping, the removal of two existing wooden support poles and all associated sites works.
County planners will decide on this application by the end of September.
