Plans have been lodged with Cavan County Council for a 96 housing development on the outskirts of Cavan Town.
Woodfort Corporate Ltd is seeking planning permission to build a residential scheme of 96 new houses on a portion of an unfinished site at Station Lane, Swellan Lower.
The proposed development will see 10 two-bed maisonettes; 70 three-bed, two-storey units; and 16 four-bedroom, one-and-two storey units.

The plans also provide for the construction of a new crèche facility.
Plans were lodged with council planners in recent days and other elements include a landscaped open space, car parking, bus stop and shelter. A Natura Impact Statement will be submitted with county planners due to give a decision by the end of May.
