An Information event is being held next week on a new Residential and Respite Hospice that is to be constructed in Cavan next year.
The plans for the new 16-bed Consultant led hospice will be available to view in St. Christopher's Hospice Cavan next Tuesday from 11.00 am until 2.00pm.
The purpose of the planned event is to increase awareness among the communities of Cavan and Monaghan that construction is due to commence in January of next year.
This significant development is being undertaken in partnership with the HSE and it will take cancer and Palliative care to new levels on an integrated basis in the region.
Plans for the new Hospice will be available for people to examine on the day and Hospice Committee members will be on hand to discuss the design and the layout of the facility.
Chairman of St. Christopher's Hospice, Jim Lalor says the new state of the art facility will be a welcome addition to the region for many years to come.
