The well-known criminal who absconded from Loughan House last month has been arrested by Gardai.
John Mangan was found cycling in the Citywest area of Dublin yesterday - and was eventually arrested after a major Garda operation involving air and armed support units.
The 53 year old was taken to Blanchardstown Garda Station and has since been transferred back to a closed prison.

Mangan, who has drugs and firearms convictions, absconded from Loughan House open prison in Cavan on October 4th.
He was one of three prisoners to escape the west Cavan open prison in October, the other two were rearrested when they tried to steal a car in Cork on October 16th.
