PSNI confirm Omagh shooting 'terror-related'

The PSNI says it's treating the attempted murder of Detective Chief Inspector, John Caldwell, as terror-related. Political leaders met the force in Belfast today - after Mr Caldwell was shot in Omagh, Co Tyrone, on Wednesday.

Chief Constable Simon Byrne say it's important politicians are united in their condemnation of the suspected New IRA attack. Mr Caldwell remains critically ill in hospital. Meanwhile, UUP leader Doug Beattie says the North's political parties all condemn the incident.
