Detectives in the North are appealing for information following a hi-jacking in the Markethill area of Armagh yesterday evening, Thursday, the 27th of July. Shortly after 11pm, PSNI detectives received a report that a Toyota Hilux Invincible car had been flagged down by three men while travelling along the Bessbrook Road.
Detective Inspector Handley described how the men threatened the occupants of the car and demanded they got out. "The car was found on fire a short time later on the nearby Tullyallen Road," he said.
Meanwhile, the PSNI is appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the hi-jacking or anyone with CCTV, doorbell or dash-cam footage who can assist with their investigation, to contact detectives on 101 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
