A rally is taking place later today in Cavan in solidarity with the people of Gaza.
The emergency protest will take place at the Cavan Town Square from 1pm this afternoon.
According to the organisers, the aim of the planned rally is to highlight the Palestinian struggle and particularly the Gaza strip.

Organiser of the emergency rally for Gaza in Cavan is Sean O Raghallaigh, he says the event is calling on an end to Israel's attack on Gaza.
Sean says this rally today will show support from people living in the area.
