Rural Ireland is alive and well according to former minister Heather Humphreys.
The former TD for Cavan and Monaghan says unprecedented investment by the government in rural Ireland has made a real difference.
She said that Covid highlighted the importance of making use of what we have on our door steps and by investing in services locally. The former rural affairs minister says volunteers have played a key role in making sure rural communities thrive and have services like her own community of Aghabog.
Speaking on the Wider View live from Aghabog earlier today, Heather Humphreys said remote working hubs has been a game changer in rural Ireland. She said a fine example of a remote work hub that has opened recently in Newbliss.
