Reports Gardaí have obtained DNA evidence to help identify killer

A forensic examination has produced a DNA and fingerprints.

Gardai have reportedly obtained DNA evidence that they believe will help them identify the person who murdered Ashling Murphy.

The school teacher was killed while jogging near her home in Offaly on Wednesday.

The Times reports that a forensic examination of a mountain bike has produced a DNA profile and fingerprints.

It comes as officers identified a new person of interest in the case.
