The Finance Minister says the latest revelations at RTÉ are a 'further embarrassment' for the state broadcaster. Members of the broadcaster's Executive Board will appear before the Oireachtas Media Committee this afternoon, after a review unearthed it used several barter accounts.
That's despite senior RTÉ officials stating last week, only one barter account was in existence. The accounts had been used to pay for around 1.6 million euro in hospitality.
Minister Michael McGrath says RTÉ providing inaccurate information to an Oireachtas Committee is a serious matter.
