A Cavan County Council meeting heard this week that Russian people living in the county are "very, very upset" over their country's attack on Ukraine.
Cllr Shane P O'Reilly told those gathered that the people of Cavan needed to support Russians who have chosen the county as their home.
He added that they were upset, disgusted and definitely not supportive of the war.

Cathaoirleach, Cllr Clifford Kelly then acknowledged Cavan County Council's support of the Ukrainian community in Cavan in recent days,
He said it was great to see the local authority "working with" the Ukrainians who now call Cavan their home.
