SEFF holds remembrance service for victims of 'The Troubles' in Monaghan

The South East Fermanagh Foundation (SEFF) has organised an event which will take place in Co Monaghan on Sunday to acknowledge hidden victims of the 'The Troubles' throughout Ireland.

The event will take place at 3 pm in St Tighernach Church of Ireland, Clones, followed by refreshments in The Creighton Hotel.

Speaking to Shannonside Northern Sound, Kenny Donaldson who is the Director of Services for SEFF, said the group is "keen" to have a broad representation of the community from both sides of the border at the event.

Sunday will mark the tenth annual remembrance service which according to Mr Donaldson acknowledges victims and survivors by providing a means of "solidarity" towards them.

He believes those impacted have had to carry their pain "silently" over the years and beliefs this event will help those living in the Republic of Ireland access the correct help and support to which they are entitled to:
