Two Shannonside Northern Sound presenters have been nominated nominated for prestigious mental health award
Sheila Naughton has been shortlisted for an award for her reporting on mental health in farming.
As part of Shannonside Northern Sound's coverage of World Suicide Prevention Day 2021, Sheila spoke to Cavan farmer Lisa Taite about losing her father to suicide.
The interview was today shortlisted in the Mental Health Broadcasting - Short Form category of the Headline Mental Health Media Awards.
At last year's ceremony, Sheila won the Special Recognition Award for speaking about her own experience of living with an eating disorder.
Joe Finnegan has also been nominated in the Headline Impact Award, which is for a broadcaster who has made an exceptional contribution to the national conversation around mental ill health.
The award winners will be announced in early December.
