The cost of living crisis is biting hard across Cavan and Monaghan
That's according to Sinn Fein leader, Mary Lou McDonald,who attended a public meeting in Co Monaghan earlier this week.
Speaking to Northern Sound, she said it was important for the 'polticial system' to realise the seriousness of the situation 'on the ground'.

She pointed out that while the crisis was "harsh" for many people, it wasn't going to last forever.
Ms McDonald added, that the Government needed to provide additional supports - particularly in the run in to Christmas.
