SIPTU members at Kyte Powertech have taken to the picket lines in pay dispute

SIPTU says members have taken the 24-hour stoppage after pursuing every other avenue open to them.

420 employees represented by SIPTU at the Kyte Powertech plant in Cavan are on the picket lines this morning in a dispute over pay.

The manufacturing plant which was first established in Cavan in 1977 supplies Distribution Transformer products and services.

SIPTU Organiser, Martin O'Rourke, said members have reluctantly voted in favour of the 24-hour stoppage after pursuing every other avenue open to them in their efforts to secure a pay increase:
