Road users are being warned to slow down with icy conditions in parts this morning.

Temperatures dipped to -5 degrees in places overnight with further snow showers expected today.

A status yellow snow-ice warning is in place for Monaghan, Cavan, Louth, Westmeath and Meath until 6pm this evening.

The UK Met Office has also issued warnings for parts of Northern Ireland, including Co Armagh.

A separate warning comes into force from tomorrow morning for all of Connacht, Leinster and Munster. However, Cavan, Monaghan and Donegal are not included.
