A special mass will take place later this morning marking 25 years since five members of the one family died in a Co Monaghan collision.
Catherine Curtis (nee Winters); her 10-year old son Wayne; her 5-year old daughter Shauna; the children's aunt Jamie and their cousin Garry both aged 14; all died in the 2001 collision.
They were killed when the car in which they were passengers; collided with a milk tanker at Swann's Cross on July 24th, 2001.
Catherine's sister Christina Weldon says that day has never left her family's memory.
She said the family were on their way, full of excitement, to start their family holiday in Bundoran when they were tragically killed in the horrific collision.
Later this morning the family will hold a special memorial mass in Bundoran to remember their loved ones.
Speaking to Northern Sound in recent days Christina said they decided to hold it in Bundoran because they never got to make that journey and now the family are making the journey for the 5 that died that day.
