A status yellow wind warning has been issued for Cavan and Monaghan.
Met Eireann says it will become very windy or squally for a time this afternoon.
The forecaster said that isolated thunderstorms are also possible.

The warning comes into effect at 2pm this afternoon and runs until 7pm this evening.
