Students thinking about coming to DKIT and who need accommodation should contact us.

With the Leaving Cert results due out tomorrow morning, students planning to attend DKIT are being advised to seek accommodation advice from the Student's Union It's newly elected President, Eoin Clarke from Ballyhaise, says the College's priority is to ensure that those who need accommodation in the Co Louth town can secure it.

Speaking to Northern Sound, Mr Clarke highlighted how the Student's Union has a portal on the website that has specific information and advice for students who need accommodation. He says those who need assistance should contact the College's Student's Union without hesitation.

Mr Clarke is advising students to be mindful of scams and to ensure that a contract is signed once agreement is reached between the student and landlord. That way, he added, students have "a back up" should anything go wrong.

"Housing is a huge one here and the Student's Union is going to try and accommodate everyone that we can," continued Mr Clarke. "So, if there are students thinking about coming to DKIT and they have an issue with accommodation then please get in contact with us.

"We will try our best to set them up with something that suits their needs as well as catering for the needs of our landlords as well."
