Three Ireland has announced A.M Hurley's and Sports in Monaghan as one of 10 winners of their 2022 Grants for Small Businesses, securing a portion of a €100,000 bursary.
The local business manufactures handmade hurley's, as well as supplying a full range of sports equipment across all sports.
According to owner, Aidan Morgan the successful business is also working on a new range of leisure wear which will be released in early 2023.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Aidan said the grant will enable the local business to engage in a marketing campaign for all areas of the business, while increasing stock level and expanding their clothing brand.
He added that he is still "blown away" by the news, highlighting that A.M Hurley's is a small, family-run business, which was set up by Aidan himself back in 2018 after he quit his full-time job to focus on this new business venture.
The Monaghan native went on to thank the support he has received so far which has enabled his business to go from strength to strength, as well as paying credit to Rory Beggan who was brought in to join the successful business as sales manager:
