Technical examination gets underway at scene of Westmeath bus crash

A technical examination is getting underway this morning at the scene of a bus crash in Co. Westmeath in which the driver was killed.

The 55 year old died in hospital after the bus hit a ditch close to Moate at around 5.30 yesterday evening.

There were around 20 passengers on board at the time, some were treated for minor injuries in hospital.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dash-cam footage from the area to come forward.
