The tradition of men wearing engagement rings is no longer as popular as it was.
That's according to Monaghan based Magill Jewellers. Signet rings are the popular choice for men but the trend of men wearing them as engagement rings or women proposing to men is not as popular here yet. Gerard Toal from Magill Jewellers says it's more common for ladies to buy their fiancé a different piece of jewellery to mark their engagement.
But he does say times are changing.
